The Saltbox Archive
The Saltbox Archive is an unauthorized public mirror of Fondation Pastore's intake system. It receives field documentation from individuals who have encountered phenomena connected to ongoing Pastore research corridors. It is not affiliated with Fondation Pastore. It does not speak for Fondation Pastore. Pastore is aware of it.
What happens when you submit
You document something real. A creature, a place, a sound, a person, a room, a road, a vending machine. Whatever it was. You submit it to r/TheSaltbox with original video. The community decides if it's worth looking at. The review team decides if it's worth keeping. Pastore decides what it means.
If your submission gets classified, it receives a permanent designation—a number in the archive that belongs to it and nothing else. A Pastore response is appended. That response will not explain what you encountered. It will tell you what Pastore intends to do about it. Those are different things.
What Pastore is
La Confraternita del Pastore Silenzioso was founded in Florence in 1460 by the alchemist Alessandrio Pastore, who recovered the first of what he called a cinder—a fragment of something that should not exist in measurable reality. The organization has operated continuously since then under various names and legal structures. It is currently registered as Fondation Pastore, Geneva.
They do not contain anomalies. They acquire them. Every classified entry in this archive represents something Pastore has assessed, valued, and made a decision about. The decision is not always disclosed.
Their internal motto: Continuité · Alignement · Silence.
What this archive is for
The archive exists because Pastore's intake system was never meant to be visible. Someone made it visible. The submissions kept coming anyway. At some point it became easier to maintain the mirror than to shut it down.
