Archive Accounts

A Saltbox account is the point where archive browsing becomes participation. It gives you a public identity inside the system, a private recovery email, a personal É balance, and a dashboard that tracks stipends, positions, creator earnings, and the long record of what you chose to back once you were inside.

A Saltbox account gives you more than a login. It gives you access to the active side of the archive: a starting É balance, daily stipends, investment positions, contest actions, and a personal dashboard that keeps the whole trail readable after the fact. If one of your submissions is classified and tied back to your account, that same account also becomes the place where creator royalties and extraction bonuses are paid.

The archive remembers what you did with your balance. Which files you trusted. Which ones you challenged. Which ones you found early enough to matter. Over time the account becomes its own dossier.

Your username is public-facing. It is what appears in account areas, ledgers, creator fields, and the public witness record attached to your name. Your email stays private and is used for confirmation, recovery, and sign-in. Passwords work like any standard account system, with Supabase handling the underlying authentication flow.

If you want the full economy breakdown before you sign up, read the Accounts & Éclat guide. It walks through stipends, investments, contests, creator earnings, Signal Strength, and the way public yield differs from Pastore's own extraction value.

Use the private email tied to your account. Your public username is still what the archive shows everywhere else.

Choose the name the archive will show publicly, attach the private email you want to use for recovery, and set the password that holds the account together. Once signup completes, the system issues your opening balance and the dashboard comes online with it.

What This Unlocks

Your username becomes your public-facing identity inside the archive. It is the name attached to your account activity and, eventually, your record presence.
Your account opens with a randomized starting balance between 100 É and 250 É, then grows through daily stipends, strong entry positions, discovery bonuses, and creator-side earnings.
Once you are in, the dashboard tracks the full participation layer: balance, transaction history, active investments, contest pressure, and Signal Strength.
