ANT Phenomenon

Aberrant Non-Terrestrial Signatures

ANT is the SBX-PHY designation for a class of phenomena that do not originate from within standard dimensional parameters. The designation stands for Aberrant Non-Terrestrial. The naming convention is informal and predates current department structure.

ANTs are not entities in the conventional sense. They do not have bodies, motivations, or observable behavior patterns in the way biological or constructed entities do. They are more accurately described as entropic fields—regions in which matter behaves according to rules that do not correspond to observed physical law.

Contact with an ANT field produces effects ranging from spatial distortion and sensory disruption to complete matter inversion. Extended proximity results in SEF—Secondary Exposure Fatality—which manifests in two documented forms:

Acute SEF

Immediate and total. The exposed subject ceases to exist in any recoverable form. Documented in eleven cases in Pastore records. Likely underreported.

Chronic SEF (the Fades)

Gradual. The subject's material presence in reality becomes inconsistent over a period ranging from weeks to years. No reversal has been documented.

ANT fields produce an acoustic signature designated UAK-KILO by SBX-DET. It has been described by surviving witnesses as the absence of sound made audible—a negative acoustic event rather than a positive one. Recordings exist in restricted archive layers.

Submissions to this archive that describe phenomena consistent with ANT field contact are routed to SBX-PHY and SBX-MED for joint assessment.

Further lore documentation—The Demon Cores, KC Nodes—to follow.
